Peace on Earth begins with You and Me

"Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me."

This global anthem for peace has been playing in my mind all day. It was written in 1955 by Jill Jackson Miller, and was inspired by a quote she and a friend heard....

"Peace, to become a reality, has to be in the hearts and practice of the individual."

Like Lzo Tu said centuries ago, there can only be peace in the world when there is peace in your heart and peace in my heart.

And that peace can begin today... on Christmas Eve. It can begin any time this holiday season as we gather around family and friends..... If you choose.

It can begin by allowing others to be who they are without judgment. It can begin by forgiving that family member or friend. It can begin by expressing patience instead of frustration.

It can begin by always striving to come from a place of love.... for yourself and for others... instead of fear.

A simple concept.... but an idea that has to be practiced consciously.

Because, in reality, we are not that different from each other....

7 Soul Messages for Spiritual Healing - Message 5

This "7 Soul Messages for Spiritual Healing" Series is meant to offer a different perspective, or a new way of looking at things, and give some tips to help heal those "imbalances and disharmonies" we've collected along the way.... (see original post) 

Soul Message # 5:  Strength is Silent and Deep

Our greatest strength is not found in the outer show of force. It is in the silence deep within us.

This strength, or inner power, is found in the stillness... it's heard in the "still small voice" inside our being... It's found through reflection, contemplation, and meditation.

This deep, silent inner power is in all of us. Sometimes it comes through times of growth and change. Sometimes it comes through surviving and overcoming painful situations.... But it's always there waiting - waiting to be accessed, waiting to be shared.

I woke up this morning with a song going through my head... It's an old hymn text that I adapted and wrote a new melody for back in 1991. Here are the words:

In shady green pastures so rich and so sweet,
God leads his children along
Where the water's cool flow bathes the weary one's feet
God leads his children along.

Some through the waters, some through the flood,
Some through the fire, but all through his Love;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song
to lead us in the night season and all the day long.

Though sorrows befall us and evil oppose us;
Through grace we can conquer
and defeat all our foes because we know

The times on the mountain where the sun shines so bright,
God is there leading us along;
And the times in the valley, in the darkest of night,

Take a few moments to reflect on your life....

• What did you learn from those challenging times?
• How did they made you stronger?
• What were the times in your life that you grew the most?
• How did they change you for the better?
• What did the good times... those "mountain top" experiences teach you?
• What did you learn about yourself?

Our greatest strength is silent and deep.... I encourage you to access it often!

Jesus Song Running Through My Head

All week I've had this song going through my head....

Jesus is the answer for the world today
Without him there's no other
Jesus is the way...

Since I believe that our Soul speaks to us in many different ways.... including through snatches of songs that play in our head.... I explored this further in my meditation this morning.

Asking the question, "What does this mean metaphysically? What does "Jesus" represent? Here's what I got....

"One-ness with God" - to be so "in tune" with God (Source, Life Force Energy) that nothing else matters.

Being "one with God" means that that is the "filter" through which all your thoughts, experiences, emotions, etc go through. You live your life from a place of Love instead of fear.

THAT is the answer for the world today. Especially now, as we are moving into the new Age - into a more spiritually-minded place.

We are being called to step it up - to evolve - to BE the spiritual beings that we are.

Jesus was God and Man: spiritual and physical. So are we. When the "spiritual" part leaves, the physical part can not continue - we die, i.e. go back to being spirit/energy 100%. The physical part of us - our body - is just a vehicle so we can exist in this 3rd dimensional world.

When we fully embrace this - when it becomes "mainstream" thinking - the world we live in will be a completely different place.

Here's to continuing the Journey... singing songs in your head.... listening deeper for the message....

Soul Meditations

I'm very excited that my new CD is almost ready - Soul Meditations for Relaxation, Reflection, and Inspiration. This has been on my "to-do list" for over 7 months.... and the launch date is scheduled for next Monday :) I still have to finish the Guidebook that goes along with it and finalize the CD mastering.

Most of the Meditations were created for clients of www.YourSoulMusic.com and with a little editing, I'm honored to showcase them in this new album.

The Guidebook is an important part of the musical experience of this CD. It's filled with ideas, activities, and suggestions that will deepen and enhance the listener's experience, and turn each Soul Meditation into their own personal self-growth tool.

I got the sample audios loaded up late last night and just set up a Pre-Launch Sale page..... I'm jazzed! :)
